Turn Up The Heat On Urban Economic Growth & Development
In the richest country in the world, it is amazing that we still have major pockets across the nation of extreme poverty, disenfranchisement and unemployment. What's up with that? Aren't we the promised land of "Milk & Honey"? What's really going on with the great American Dream of comfort, wealth and prosperity?
Isn't it fascinating that only about 5% of the U.S. population controls about 90% of the economy? Which means that only about 10% of the economy is left to fight over among 95% of the population. Each year the list of billionaires living in the U.S. gets larger and larger as the gulf between the haves and the have-nots continues to increase. What needs to be done to help balance the great disparity between the upper and lower class? Three things that can help raise the bar and benefit the poor immediately come to mind:
(1) Improve Academic Performance and Educational Reform Benefiting Urban Markets.
(2) Improve & Increase Community Reinvestment Practices for the Urban Markets.
(3) Improve & Diversify Collaborative Partnerships with Developers & Political Leaders.
